Toumbaal House The design of Toumbaal Plains was inspired by the dramatic landscape in which it is located. The Waugh family have owned the property and been connected with this part of the Australian coastline for over 110 years and Toumbaal Plains allows them to share their appreciation for this unique coastal landscape with people from all over the world.
Guest Comments "Thank you so much for building your magnificent house - what an utter delight, and so much fun, I could hang around there for a lifetime - adjusting it, tuning it, wandering through the spaces.
It's a creative place just to be, a magnificent achievement, and a beautiful place. Please give our regards to the roos, the dingos, the frogs and the baby carpet snake who lives somewhere near the front gate."
“Gives new meaning to the expression splendid isolation. We felt like we were in a farmhouse in a Western, totally integrated with the surroundings. Just add kangaroos, emus and a Wilkinson Award. A fair swap for no John Wayne.”
“A truly amazing house – its like camping in pure luxury! The bathroom is world class.”
“What a place! A credit to yourself and your architect.”
“Magical. Deeply relaxing… what a magnificent house” |
